Our Absolute Beginners’ and Improvers’ Classes in 2008, 2010 and 2011 were a great success; they introduced participants to the basics of choral singing and gave most the confidence and skills to continue as full members of Tyndale or other local Societies.

... but there is always more to do ...

Tyndale Choral Society is delighted to offer another Improvers’ Class in 2012. Led by John Hicks, the class will offer further tuition in sight‑reading, choral technique and relevant theory. Each week we will work on a piece chosen to illustrate one particular aspect of choral singing such as: intervals, phrasing, rhythms and following a conductor. The emphasis will be practical; this isn’t a sit and listen course, it’s a learn, understand and try it out experience - be prepared to sing!

A warm welcome will be extended to anybody who feels that he or she could benefit from extra coaching; the course is not restricted to members of the society.

The class will run on Monday evenings from 6th February to 12th March, 19:30 to 21:30, in the Methodist Church, Dursley. The course fee is £15.
